Akothee Admits She's Worn Out, Takes Break From Social Media: "For My Wellbeing"

• Singer Akothee has said that she needs time to re-energize and realign herself, disclosing that the year has been tough on her
• She got married to her Swiss husband, Daniel Schweizer, in April but left him later in the year after a few months together
• After the separation, Akothee said that the relationship had taken a toll on her to the point she had to undergo therapy

Singer and businesswoman Akothee has disclosed that she is taking a break from social media.

Why Akothee will be off social media

In an Instagram post, Akothee said that she is tired and worn out and needs to take a break to decompress.

"The past year has been an incredible journey, filled with highs and lows, and I appreciate each and every one of you for being a part of it."

Many eventful things have happened in the singer's life this year, including getting married to her Swiss lover, Denis Schweizer, in a lavish ceremony and then separating from him a couple of months later, among many others.

"As life's rollercoaster ride has taken its toll, I find myself feeling exhausted and worn out. The constant hustle has left me with little time to rest and recharge, and I've reached a point where I need to prioritize my well-being," she said.

She expressed her gratitude to her fans for supporting her, promising to get back to them on January 15th.

"I've decided to take a break and step away from all online platforms until the 15th of January 2024. This time away will allow me to reenergize, reschedule, and recollect myself. It's a necessary step to ensure that I can continue to deliver the best of myself to you all," she added.

Akothee's sons fly in for the holidays

Meanwhile, the singer's two sons, who live in France with one of her baby daddies jetted into the country on December 21.

She was elated as she went to pick them up from the airport.

Akothee could be seen looking out the window while telling her daughters that the French airline had arrived. She beamed with joy, waiting to see her babies.

She then strolled inside the airport, where her youngest son ran towards her and gave her a tight hug.

Akothee's eldest son walked towards her and joined in on the hug as he embraced his mum from the side and the three of them shared a moment as onlookers watched.
