Big Ted Opens Up On Failed Marriage With Ex-Wife, Says They Were In Different Spaces

• Ted talked of his divorce from his ex-wife Sheila, noting that it was mutual since they were both in different spaces

Kenya's Consul General for Los Angeles, Thomas Kwaka, aka Big Ted, has talked of his divorce from his ex-wife Sheila.

Ted, in an interview on the Iko Nini podcast, opened up about being a girl dad, saying that he adored his daughters to bits.

The girl dad proudly noted that he had pinned his children's chats, and if they needed anything, he would give it to them without blinking.

The entertainer noted that his daughter's lives are private, and he did not want them paraded on social media.

“Nimewapiga cover mbaya.(I have completely protected them) Even if you Google them, you won’t find them. I am a slave of these children. I can’t tell them no. They know this. I am like, what do you need, no no no, I will give you today.”

Why Big Ted and wife split

He also talked of his split with his ex-wife, noting that they were in different spaces and that it wasn't caused by financial strain.

“I was in a different direction, and so was she. Na sikutake time nijaribu hizo mbili zishikane. (I did not take time to connect both our paths. Then you come and find we are strangers. Then, we were in different spaces at the time.”

Ted also revealed that he was exploring different relationships at the moment.

"All those women in my life are very special. I remarried so, I have five women in my life. If they all decide to give you an attitude, you will be in tears.”

The entertainer noted that divorce was not final and that a failed marriage was better than losing one's life.

“Divorce is not final, but I’d rather you go back to your parents with your suitcase than go back to your parents in a suitcase.”

Big Ted and ex-wife meet consulate staff in US

In 2022, the entertainer took his ex-wife to meet the consulate staff in the US.

Ted was among the names of Kenyans who were appointed and given ambassadorial positions by former president Uhuru Kenyatta in April 2022.

The entertainer worked at the state house before he got his current job and revealed that he was bankrupt but had opportunities to make money while working at the state house, but his conscience did not let him do so.
