A new development has cropped up in the ongoing saga between two Bomet families set to hold a wedding over the weekend.
Amos and Nelly Chepkoech were set to walk down the aisle on Saturday, December 9, but that did not happen.
The wedding was cancelled on the eve of the wedding, leaving both the would-be bride and groom heartbroken.
"I didn't cancel wedding," bride
Initially, the bride was accused of pulling out because she needed time to rethink the decision, earning her scorn on social media.

She came out to dispute the claims, blaming the officiating pastor for cancelling the wedding without her knowledge.
Nelly remained adamant that she had also learned that the wedding had been postponed on the eve and that she had not walked out as claimed on social media.
"We all cried when the reverend told us there was no wedding. As you can see, I am available and ready to exchange my vows," she maintained.
"Leave my son alone!" mother-in-law
The groom's mother, Sarah, rubbished Nelly's explanation and expressed disappointment in the 23-year-old woman.
In a video by Nenetesetai, she disclosed that her son brought the would-be bride home, and she liked her from the start.
They, therefore, started making preparations and went through all the processes, but that changed two days before the wedding when they got the feeling the girl wasn't truthful.
"I can't even talk about everything we did because there were things this girl was hiding, and we should give her space to think," she said.
The mother added that she was displeased by the events but was letting the bride go to find a new life elsewhere, away from her son.
Holiday for Amos
Her sentiments come a day after Bonfire Adventures CEO Simon Kabu offered the heartbroken groom a fully paid holiday to soothe his woes.
In a statement on his Facebook page, the philanthropic businessman expressed his sympathy for the groom and others involved in the cancelled wedding.
"Amos whose wedding was cancelled last minute. Where are you? Bonfire Adventures, we have a holiday for you," he wrote.
