Viral 'kanjo' lady Gloria Ntazola has kicked up a storm over her dislike for Kenyan music, specifically Gengetone.
What did Gloria Ntazola say about Gengetone?
In a widely shared rant, Ntazola lambasted Gengetone as a genre that required the least talent.
Ntazola said Gengetone musicians have not invested in their art and that she'd rather listen to Luhya songs.

According to the TikToker, Kenyans should, instead, stick to athletics.
She added that Gengetone is not worth her beauty or time and likened it to her disgust of eating pork.
"I don't listen to Kenyan music because there is nothing to listen to. With my beautiful face, I should listen to Gengetone. No, hell no. Very lazy musicians; they can't invest in their art.
Let's stick to running. Telling me to listen to Gengetone is like forcing me to eat pork. I, really, don't like that animal," she wrote in her Instagram stories.
The unpopular stand did not auger well with a section of Kenyans who blasted her statement as elitist.
They accused Ntazola of degrading artistes and misrepresenting the genre. Netizens noted that Gengetone was one of Kenya's fast-rising genres, giving the youth a voice to speak on social issues, including poverty, urban decay and violence.
Lizzy Muthoka:
“Do you listen to music with your beautiful face?”
Vincent kenyanboie:
"You haven’t listened to Mejja.”
Sultan Somalia:
"I don't know if what she's saying is true or not in relation to investments in their art. I'm not sure if they get air-play, awards and corporate endorsements outside Kenya. That could be a good metric for gauging their levels of art."
Gal Dem:
"The fact that you don't like something doesn't mean it's bad and those who like it are wrong.”
How did Gloria Ntazola go viral?
Ntazola, a resident of Ngong town, gained fame after an altercation with a kanjo askari in the CBD.
This is after she was captured on video confronting the Kanjo for entering her vehicle after a parking offence.
A determined Ntazola called him out for entering her vehicle and drove off with him as he protested.
