Holywood actress Jada Pinkett has acknowledged how the 2022 Oscars event that saw her hubby Will Smith slap Chris Rock changed their relationship.
According to Billboard, the Girls Trip actress claimed that seeing her hubby slap the comedian confirmed that she will never leave him.

Will smacked Rock after he made a joke about Jada's bald head and told him to keep his wife's name out of his mouth.

The slap left many celebrities in shock as they never expected the award-winning actor to behave in such a manner.
While promoting her book Worthy, Jada revealed that the slap saved their marriage and brought with it many good things.
"After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him. Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn’t happened? It took that slap for me to see I will never leave him. I call it the ‘holy slap’ now because so many positive things came after it. I nearly didn’t even attend the Oscars that year, but I’m glad I did," she said.
She added that it is when things get out of hand that you get to know who you are, as he credited the slap for the life-changing moment.
Jada claims she, Will separated
Jada left many shocked after disclosing a surprising revelation about her long separation from Will before the 2022 Oscars incident.
The celebrity couple had been living separate lives since 2016, with no legal divorce on paper, as Jada admitted she could not bring herself to divorce the actor.
"We’re still figuring it out. We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got a deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us," she said in the interview promoting her memoir.
