However, in his second year, Kamau was involved in substance abuse, which saw him drop out of school.

"My son Kamau has always been a good child. He is a quiet boy and loves to obey. He started changing after joining campus bad company influence. My son started using abusing substances and became an addict," Kamau's mum said, as recorded by Facebook user Derrick Mbugua in his post.

4. YouTuber completes construction of man abandoned by family

YouTuber Samuel Wanyoike, popularly known as Wanyoike Wa Mugure, completed the construction of a new home for Francis Murigu, who spent over two decades living in a cave.

Despite being abandoned by his wife and other children, Murigu remained steadfast with his loyal son, weathering life's challenges in the confines of a cave.

The inspiring story came to light when a TikTok user, @judynish5, shared a video of Murigu in distress by the roadside.

This video caught the attention of Samuel Wanyoike, who took it upon himself to locate the man.

Determined to provide a better life for Murigu, Wanyoike facilitated his transfer to Mathari Mental Hospital in Nairobi County, where he could receive the necessary medical care.

However, Wanyoike's efforts did not stop there. Utilising his YouTube platform, he launched a fundraising campaign to build a new home for Murigo.

The house, as Mugure told TUKO.co.ke, is now completed.

5. Man trends for selling William Ruto's mambo ni matatu T-shirts

A young Kenyan entrepreneur caught the nation's attention by seizing a unique business opportunity derived from President William Ruto's recent fiery warning to sugar cartels.

The young man, known on TikTok as @itrendstores, has turned the president's words into a lucrative venture by printing them on t-shirts, which he's selling for KSh 1,000 each.

The genesis of this remarkable story can be traced back to Ruto's visit to the Western region, where he delivered a stern message to those involved in sugar cartels.

According to the head of state, the cartels have greatly hindered his efforts to revive the Mumias Sugar Company.

During his speech, Ruto's words were particularly vivid as he laid down the threats to the cartels, offering them three options: leave the country, face imprisonment, or go on a celestial journey.

"And I have said that if they do not change, they should vacate the country; if not, they will go to jail, or they should pack their things and go to heaven," he said.

The TikToker swiftly recognised the potential in the president's striking words and converted them into a novel business opportunity.

6. Trending nanny recounts times working in Lebanon

From her diligence that endeared her to her Lebanese employers to questions about her sad face to a holiday and promise of a new job.

A more significant percentage of those who watched videos of her interaction between her employers and their kids concluded she was a happy employee.

The notion was fortified by how her immediate former boss begged her to return to Lebanon with her children.

If her most recent revelation is anything to go by, Rosie was not as happy in the Gulf as she portrayed.

In the video, she disclosed that it took her a while to acclimatise to the new working environment, miles away from home.

7. Tale of Kenyan millionaire who became broke

Richard Kioko Kiundi, popularly known as “The Duke of Emali”, rose from a young man fresh from university to a high-flying accountant.

With money rolling in, the man from Makueni County led a lavish lifestyle that took him beyond the borders.

In an interview with Afrimax English, Kioko disclosed that life started in the civil service, where he served the country in different roles before landing a job that changed his life.

It all began when the career accountant was having a beer and bumped into a gentleman who offered him four times the salary he had been earning.

"I was earning about KSh 4,500 then, so I quoted KSh 18,000, and the man told me to report to the Toyota Kenya office at the Nyayo Stadium roundabout," he recalled.

Kioko quickly rose through the ranks at Toyota and was soon promoted to Operations Manager before resigning to join Kenya Pipeline.

He was earning enough money to afford a magnificent house, own three cars, and take his four children to prestigious schools.

However, everything he had built started crumbling in 2013 when he was informed that he had a mild stroke and was admitted to HDU.

8. Viral nanny's employer asks her not to return to Lebanon

Expressing her desire to have Rosie back in Lebanon, the employer also conveyed immense joy at the prospect of Rosie spending quality time with her kids in Kenya.

In an emotional statement, she admitted,
