Content creator Mkenya Isaak 7Million is ending the year on a high note after switching from renting to home ownership.

It was an even more joyous moment for the Gatua Kitale resident when he bid farewell to his landlord of three years, Mr Jairus Ounza.

Isaak had good relationship with landlord

In a post on Facebook, the humorist shared how he had an excellent relationship with Mr Ounza, who insisted he calls him a neighbour instead of a landlord.

The idea, he continued, was for him to be comfortable coming back home without having to hide even on days he's delayed to pay rent.

"I promised him I would stop being his tenant the day I built my house. Today marks the day I stop being his tenant," he wrote.

Mkenya admitted that he delayed with rent occasionally, but the landlord did not throw his family out.

Best thing he's done in life

Reached for comment, Isaak told TUKO.co.ke that the landlord and his wife thanked his family for being the best tenants.

According to the comedian, the landlords used the money they paid in rent to invest more, adding that they hoped to maintain the friendship even after parting ways.

"They said wherever we go, they pray for God's blessing and protection and advised us to live well with our new neighbours," he said.

The devoted father and family man shared his excitement as he prepares to embark on a new chapter in his life.

Isaak added that it felt refreshing and made him feel great because, as a father, he is the vision carrier of his family.

"Providing a home for my wife and son is the best thing I have done at my age. The car Kenyans bought me now has a parking spot," he said with a beaming smile.

Security guard builds house for mum

Elsewhere, a man from Bungoma was ecstatic after he built a new house for his widowed mother with a salary from a security guard job.

Lucas James told TUKO.co.ke that he had been saving much of his salary to make the project successful.

The Procurement and Logistics graduate became a watchman after failing to secure a job, yet he needed to upgrade his mother's life.

"They laugh at us in security guard uniforms, but we are transforming lives in the villages," he said proudly.
