A man could not hide his pain and grief after his fiancee' was buried on Saturday, December 2, the same day that was supposed to be their wedding day.

Rehema Chao died on November 28, alongside her mother, after their vehicle collided with a lorry, leading to their instant deaths.

A video shared by Mwanachi showed Chao's heartbroken lover weeping in pain during her burial on Saturday.

His family and friends held him as he broke into tears after he saw her remains in the morgue.

On the day that the couple would have held hands after exchanging their vows, Aman Mollen, the would-be groom, instead held his lover's cross as her emotional send-off unfolded.

The couple held a colourful engagement ceremony on November 24, just four days before her death.

Bride dies en route to wedding venue

Together with one of her bridesmaids, the Malawian woman who donned an exquisite wedding dress boarded a Honda Fit to go to the church where the ceremony was to take place.

However, while on the way to the wedding venue, the unimaginable happened; the vehicle she was travelling in was involved in a terrible road accident after it was hit by a Nissan X-Trail.

Wezzie's friends and family took to their social media platforms to express their pain and sorrow following her death on her wedding day.
