Nairobi - The year 2023 has been full of love, and we saw many celebrities walk down the aisle in flashy weddings. But the question is, who had the laziest wedding?
Well, TUKO.co.ke has compiled a list of seven celebrities who tied the knot in 2023.
1. MaryAnne Mudavadi
The Prime Cabinet Secretary's only daughter, MaryAnne Mudavadi, and her man, Nyaga Karanja, tied the knot in a colourful traditional wedding on August 19. It was held in Mululu, Vihiga county.

The lovebirds then tied the knot in a white wedding on October 28 at St. Austin's Catholic Church in Lavington.
After the wedding, the newlyweds left the church for their wedding reception, and their convoy brought business to a standstill in some parts of the city.
MaryAnne and Nyaga drove in a white, open-roof vintage car. Their bridal and groomsmen teams also drove in open-vintage cars of different colours. The convoy also consisted of other fancy cars, including Maybachs.
Nairobians stood still on the roadsides and watched in awe as the convoy, led by a police officer on a bike, made its way to the wedding reception venue. At the wedding reception, the lovebirds enjoyed music and dancing with their guests.
Several rich kids and politicians attended the couple's wedding.
2. Akothee
The self-proclaimed rich singer Akothee and her Mzungu man, Denis Schweizer, popularly known as Omosh, walked down the aisle in a lavish, colourful wedding on Monday, April 10.
The wedding was attended by top politicians and celebrities, among them Ida Odinga, Lang'ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, aka Jalas, Gladys Wanga, Karen Nyamu, The Bahatis, former CAS David Osiany, to mention but a few.
The lovebirds' wedding was christened the wedding of the year. After the wedding, Akothee announced that she was taking a break from social media to focus on her marriage.
Akothee announced they were set to hold another wedding in Switzerland in July, but it did not happen.
On October 31, the mother of five announced that she dumped Omosh two months after their wedding.
"I walked out of the relationship in June. I normally walk out of a relationship when I am still in it. During our honeymoon, I found out some things that I could not keep up with, she said.
3. Alvin Wetangula
Alvin Wetang'ula, the son of the National Assembly Speaker's son, married his Maasai lover, Naisula Leteipan, in a glamorous wedding held at his father's home in Bungoma county.
Wetang'ula and his wife, Phyllis Ayuma, dazzled in stylish outfits during their son's wedding.
4. Bahati
The musician turned politician married his wife Diana Marua in a traditional wedding during their seventh marriage anniversary.
On October 7, Bahati paid a dowry for his wife. Excited, Bahati revealed his father-in-law gave them his blessings and shared a snippet video from the colourful ceremony. Diana's father also prayed for them, asking God to protect and bless their marriage.
5. Mulamwah
The content creator, whose real name is Kendrick Oyando, married his longtime girlfriend, Ruth K, in a colourful wedding.
The lovebirds are expecting their first child.
6. Rodney Abel
Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo's son, Rodney Abel, tied the knot with Elle Cecilia in a traditional wedding ceremony.
The private event was attended by dignitaries, including Governors James Orengo and Ochillo Ayacko. The wedding featured stylish African outfits, with the groom and bride wearing cream and blue-themed attire.
7. Michael Orengo
Michael married Samantha Luseno in a colourful wedding ceremony held in Vihiga county on September 9.
Raila Odinga attended the couple's traditional wedding (nyombo).
