Mombasa - Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has once again come to the rescue of ex-Kenyan boxer Conjestina Achieng.
Taking to his X account on Tuesday, January 16, the flamboyant politician said he had given Conjestina the last chance.
"Even though our chances in Conjestina's healing journey were watered down, I'm a person who doesn't give up in life. It is for this reason that we have given Conjestina the third and last chance again on her case," Sonko said.

Where Conjestina Achieng has been admitted
Sonko revealed that the former boxer had been admitted to the Mombasa Women Rehabilitation Centre.
She will start her treatment afresh under the care of a group of specialists, including a counsellor and physiatrists.
"My special thanks go to the Mombasa Women's Hospital management led by the chief administrator, Hon. Amina Abdalla for accepting us back to the facility. Mungu mbele," Sonko further said.
How long was Conjestina Achieng in Yala
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that renowned media personality Carol Radull gave a glimpse of Conjestina after returning to the village.
The celebrated sportswoman had been in Mombasa for treatment before securing a job at Mike Sonko's club as the head of security.
However, it was unclear when Conjestina returned to the village, as Radull stated she had been in Yala for about two months.
The ex-radio presenter shared photos she took with Conjestina and her family and posted them on X.
In her post, she noted that the athlete looked sad, but upon seeing her, she was beaming with joy while noting that she had gone back to her lifestyle.
Part of what she wrote read:
"When I arrived, she was having a bad day, but her face lit up when she saw me, and we chatted for a long time as best we could. I tried with my layman's ability to gently encourage her to 'clean up her act'. Many have tried to help her, but none of us have succeeded in a long-term solution to her predicament. I concede it's out of my capability. What I can do, though, is be her friend. Visit her when I can. Call her Mum from time to time to check in on them."
