"Rent was needed on the 10th day of each month and if you delay with the rent for three days, he comes and carries away the door, and you will sleep like you are in the outdoors at Ole Shipai," said Hamo who once shared hiding from another landlord for 10 months because of rent.

Does Prof Hamo own a home?
Hamo remembered one day when the landlord descended on him like a tonne of bricks and demanded that he leave his house.
"He would tell me that this is not my house to live. Those days, it really used to pain me, but I always prayed to God, telling Him to give me something of my own," said the celebrity who now owns a home.
"Now you are living in someone's rental house and have even installed gypsum with snake light; when you enter that house it looks like a matatu. Look for an aggressive landlord to quarrel you until you start looking for your own home," he advised netizens.
