Why was Bomet wedding cancelled?
Nelly and Amos, the couple at the centre of the unfortunate incident, were set to tie the knot on Saturday, December 9, 2023. But, just hours before the ceremony, the bride allegedly reached out to the priest to cancel the wedding.
According to a close friend of the couple and a member of their wedding committee, the bride expressed doubts about taking the final step down the aisle.

Leaked chats from WhatsApp wedding group trend
In the leaked chats, one of the members of the wedding committee announced that the wedding was not going to happen as planned.
"Good morning, friends. Many are calling me asking why the wedding was postponed. The main reason is that Nelly requested to be given more time. The church and parents from both sides considered her request. Thanks for understanding," the member wrote accompanied by a Bible verse, Romans 8:28."
A relative of the bride demanded further explanation on why she decided to cancel her wedding at the last minute, but no one answered their question.
"Be strong Amos. Never be disappointed and all shall be well in Jesus name," another member advised.
The wedding committee members were shocked, as many questioned what could have gone wrong.
"This is the first test for you, Amos and Nelly. Be strong in the Lord. The test of time is not the end of life," another member advised.

Chairman of Bomet wedding denies bride dumped fiance for ex
Pastor Clement Chalulot, the chairman of the wedding committee, said everything was in order as planned. But on December 7, when the bride's parents failed to give up their details while processing the crucial certification and filling out the forms for use by the cleric charged with officiating at the ceremony.
He said the couple had been handed more time to iron out the contentious issues before the wedding was rearranged.
Chalulot, however, dispelled the word peddled around that the bride had returned to her ex-fiance.
"Those are just rumours. What we know is the issue was on the side of the bride's parents. Otherwise, they are good people, her father is, in fact, a reverend in our church," he said.
