On December 12, the country was shocked when news broke of how a young businesswoman lost her life in a bar at the suspected hands of a policeman.

Kwasira killed in cold blood

Constable Nicholas Musau, based at Nakuru Central Police Station, was arrested for allegedly shooting dead Kwasira.

According to the police report, Musau picked up a quarrel with the lady after he refused to clear his KSh 16,000 bill. Three other people were shot in the fracas and are undergoing treatment at Nakuru Level 5 Hospital.

In a tribute to beautiful Laura Kwasira, Nakuru City Facebook page said: "We have lost a hardworking business lady in this city. Laura succumbed to yesterday’s shooting in her pub. Rest In Peace Laura Kwasira."

Man shot twice by a police officer in the club

In the same story, Edwin Apungana, a security guard at the same nightclub, said he was shot twice in the abdomen by Musau.

Apungana said they pleaded with the officer to leave peacefully, but instead, he drew his pistol and started shooting at people.
