Deadpool and Wolverine has completed its theatrical run and fans are super happy with what they witnessed on screen. The major selling point of Deadpool and Wolverine was the massive number of cameos, including the Deadpool Corps that we got to see in the movie. Now, if you are curious, find out about the 12 major Deadpool variants that were part of Deadpool 3.
Lady Deadpool
One of the most anticipated characters to appear in Deadpool 3 was Lady Deadpool. There were a lot of speculations regarding who would be playing the character in the movie. But with the release of Deadpool 3 in Japan, the cast listing of Deadpool and Wolverine revealed that Blake Lively was the one playing this Deadpool variant in Deadpool 3. Even though Lady Deadpool did not take her mask off, we now know who is under that mask.
Dogpool
The first Deadpool Variant announced with the Deadpool 3 trailer was Dogpool. This variant hails from an alternate timeline where a dog named Wade was used as a lab rat by a company called Mascara X to test their regenerative Mascara. However, those experiments gave Dogpool the power to regenerate, hence, turning him into Dogpool. The version of Dogpool we see in the movie is very different from the one that appears in the comic books and is named Mary Poppins.
Nicepool
Not much is known about who was the inspiration behind Nicepool (also played by Ryan Reynolds). However, in the movie, Nicepool seems to be a version of Deadpool who does not have regenerative powers. Nicepool is an overly nice mercenary who is the owner of Dogpool and wields gold-plated Desert Eagle pistols, which are borrowed by Deadpool after he gets Nicepool killed.
Headpool
Headpool in the comics hails from an alternate universe called Earth-2149. This universe was taken over by a zombie virus and infected Deadpool as well, turning him into a zombie. This variant was then transported to Prime Earth (Earth-616) and decapitated by Wundarr the Aquarian. His body never regenerated because of his weakened regenerative factor, thus, turning him into Headpool.
Cowboy Deadpool
Cowboy Deadpool hails from Earth-1108 and calls himself Deadpool Kid, “Kid” being a suffix used by outlaw gunslingers in the Wild West. In his timeline, he was wanted for “bank robbery, arson, software piracy, and stampeding pygmy goats through an orphanage.” In the movie’s timeline, Wolverine is a bounty hunter who is after Cowboy Deadpool, and you will never guess who is under the Cowboy Deadpool mask in Deadpool 3.
Kidpool
Kidpool is quite literally a child version of Deadpool from Earth-10330. In his timeline, he was a student at Charles Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. But since he was a constant troublemaker, he was a black sheep at the school and eventually ran away from there. In Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds’ daughter, James, plays the role of Kidpool, making it her unnoticed cinematic debut.
Roninpool
Watari aka Roninpool made his first appearance in the comic issue of 5 Ronin released in 2011. This version of Deadpool is a master swordsman and also appears in the comic run of Deadpool Corps. In the movie, he is seen teamed up with Lady Deadpool while fighting against Deadpool and Wolverine in the final act of the movie.
Golden Age Deadpool
Golden Age Deadpool aka Fredrick Wilson made his first appearance in the comic run of Captain America: Who Won’t Wield the Shield #1 released in 2010. He was later recruited by the Deadpool Corps to stop Dreadpool. In the movie, he is seen fighting alongside Lady Deadpool against Deadpool and Wolverine. This Deadpool variant used two cutlasses instead of Katanas.
Deadpool 2099
Deadpool 2099 is a futuristic version of Deadpool named Warda Wilson who is the daughter of Wade Wilson and Shiklah, Queen of the Underworld. Her birth was kept a secret from Wade by her mother, and she is also seen fighting a variant of her dad and Wolverine in Deadpool 3.
Zenpool
Zenpool is technically the future version of the Prime Earth Deadpool who goes completely pacifist because of a spell cast by Wanda and Doctor Doom. He is the one we see using blowdarts while others are shooting at Deadpool using Nicepool as a human shield.
Baby Deadpool
Babypool appears in Deadpool and Wolverine as the newborn child of Lady Deadpool. He did not engage in combat but was seen as the last surviving one after Wolverine and Deadpool took out the entire Deadpool Corps. In Deadpool 3, this baby variant of Deadpool is played by Ryan and Blake’s youngest child Olin.
Peterpool
Peterpool is a character that is nonexistent in the Marvel comic books. In Deadpool 3, Peter puts on a Deadpool costume and shows up when Deadpool Corps is regenerating and is ready to launch an attack against Deadpool and Wolverine once again. As it turns out, every variant of Deadpool has a Peter and they all love him equally. His appearance distracts the Deadpool Corps allowing Wolverine and Deadpool to go save the timeline.
