In a major surprise, EA FC 25 has received the Live Tuning 1 Update, which has brought some major gameplay changes.
Unlike Title Update 1, players won’t have to download any major patches, as the changes will be applied in real-time. EA Sports has already uploaded the patch notes for the first update, which can be viewed on the official Trello. While there are exactly three changes in this patch, all of them will definitely have a telling impact on gameplay.
EA FC 25 Live Tuning 1 Update patch notes
If you’ve focused on the recent meta inside EA FC 25, you’ll know how effective first-time lob passes and speed boosts have been. Combining the R2 and L1 buttons has often led to skillful players creating a lot of space, which often seemed unnatural. It’s now been proven that incidents from the recent past were all unintended results.
- Reduced ball trajectory height for Lobbed Passes and Crosses performed in Rush matches.
- Reduced accuracy of first-time Lobbed Through Passes and Lobbed Through Passes taken at severe angles.
Addressed the following issue:
- [PS5/PC/XBSX|S Only] Reduced instances of players accelerating unintentionally quickly when a Sprint is requested.
Lobbed Passes and Lobbed Through Passes have been unrealistically accurate in certain instances. That problem should no longer be an issue after the first Live Update of EA FC 25. However, a much more important change is the complete nerf of the R2 speed boost.
According to EA Sports, the space being created by players was unintentionally quick. It’s unclear as to how big a change it is by the developers. One thing for certain: this one shift will have a huge impact on the market. Certain cards have been panic sold by a part of the community already, and there could be bigger ramifications ahead of the next Champions Finals.
