Some side quests have better rewards than others, though, especially the Beetle Ballyhoo side quest in Gerudo Town. You can earn the powerful Heart Barrette for completing it. If you need help, we’re here to show you how.

How to start Beetle Ballyhoo quest in Echoes of Wisdom

This side quest can be picked up in Gerudo Town from the Gerudo standing outside by an unlit torch. This is Raslett. She has a flower in her hair if you need help finding her. As a soldier, there’s an infestation she must take care of in a cave outside town, but there’s one problem: she’s terrified of Beetles!

So, she’ll ask you for help. She’ll reward you if you go out to this cave and take care of the infestation for her.

It’s important to note that this quest can only be picked up once you’ve completed the Still Missing main quest. Before this, it won’t be available.

The cave you’re looking for will be slightly northeast of Gerudo Town. If you’ve already fought the blue Lanmola, it will be right in this area. Head inside, and you’ll find a bunch of Beetles wandering around.

The only thing you need to do is clear out all of the Beetles. However, they’ll keep crawling out of the mounds up on the ledge above if you defeat them. You need to take out the Beetle Mounds, as well.

For the Beetles themselves, one Crawltula will be very effective at getting rid of them. The Beetles are very weak on their own, only taking one hit before dying, and since the Crawltula attacks fast, they’ll be taken care of before they can reach you.

The Beetle Mounds are not particularly difficult, either. Aim a Pathblade at them, and when it spins, it will destroy three of them in one move. Use another Pathblade for the other. After all the Beetles and their mounds are gone, you can head back to Gerudo Town.

How to get the Heart Barrette in Echoes of Wisdom

Once you’ve returned to town, go inside of the home Raslett was standing in front of when you picked up the quest. She’ll be waiting inside along with her pack of black cats. Talk to her, and she’ll realize that it’s her duty as a soldier to be brave and that she shouldn’t have asked you to beat the Beetles.

However, her commander will walk in and congratulate her on a job well done. Before Raslett can tell the truth, she is told that whenever there are Beetle problems, they’ll come to her.

While Raslett isn’t exactly happy about this, she vows she’ll take care of Beetles herself in the future. For your hard work, she’ll give you a Heart Barrette accessory.

This accessory makes it more likely for you to find hearts dropped from enemies or in the grass. It’s one of the best in the game, so it’s well worth stopping to do this quest when you’re visiting town.
