By doing well, you just won’t have to settle for bragging rights, for there are retro LA Gear prizes to be won. Let’s take a look at how you can participate and win the highest positions in the new Street Fighter 2 retro fighting game challenge campaign.

LA Gear Street Fighter 2 retro fighting game challenge campaign explained

Street Fighter 2 is widely regarded as one of the best fighting games of all time. Despite being a really old title for modern times, you can still enjoy the intense fights if you manage to secure one of those older arcades. The retro fighting game challenge campaign will reward you with brand new LA Gear footwear and exclusive discounts if you can manage to get the top ranks.

Here’s how you can participate, along with the conditions associated with the tournament.

  • You’ll have to use a valid arcade/console system to participate. If you’re using an emulator on the PC, you’ll have to declare the details of your hardware and the software you use to run and play Street Fighter 2. Here are all the applicable arcades/consoles: Arcade, SNES, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16, Sega Master System, Game Boy, Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST, PC (DOS), PlayStation, Sega Saturn, PlayStation 2, Xbox, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via various collections and ports).
  • You have to play at the original speed. Turbo/Hyper mode has to be disabled. The difficulty has to be set to 3 on a scale of 0-7 and to 4 stars on a scale of 1-8.
  • Choose single-player mode.
  • Score the maximum number of points within the first three matches.
  • Make sure to record all the action happening on your screen. Recording sessions should be uninterrupted.

Once you’re done with your recording and satisfied with the results, you’ll need to upload it to the Twin Galaxies platform. Complete your sign-up and submit the video and score from the contest page. Just click on this link to go to the relevant page.

The Street Fighter 2 retro fighting game challenge campaign runs until October 21, so there’s plenty of time for you to record your sessions. Rewards are waiting for you if you can get yourself in the top 44 ranks.

  • The top four will receive a grand prize of free sneakers for all adult light-up styles: Catapult, Boardwalk, and Turbo. They will also receive 50% off the entire LA Gear purchase price, which includes footwear styles, apparel, and accessories.
  • The top 5-14 get 50% off the entire LA Gear purchase price, which includes footwear styles, apparel, and accessories.
  • The top 15-44 get 25% off the entire LA Gear purchase price, which includes footwear styles, apparel, and accessories.

Now that you know what needs to be done, start to crank up those fingers and smash your opponents to score as many points as possible.
