QuakeCon attendees, rejoice: one of the swankest-lookin’ games in recent memory will be playable at the upcoming conference. Valve and Turtle Rock Studios have announced that Left 4 Dead, the upcoming zombie survival co-op shooter, will be playable at this year’s QuakeCon in Dallas, August 2-5. You lucky jerkfaces in attendance will also have the opportunity to ask members of the design team questions about the game, like “what’s your favorite zombie film?”, and “when you walk, does a path of flowers and sunshine spring up in your wake?”
Yeah, I’m a fan. And if I wasn’t up to my neck in obligations to my post (got me a review of Bratz Ponyz coming up), I’d hop the nearest freight train and battle a pack of wandering hobos to get to Dallas just to get a crack at it. I guess I’ll just have to wait — le sigh.
But for those of you gettin’ your rocketjumps on at this year’s QuakeCon, be sure to hit the booth, get some impressions, and fill out them community blogs. If I can’t live the dream, at least I can live vicariously through you.
[Thanks, Doug!]
