Why is Hellon against receiving money from certain people?

"Some of you are sick and suffering for being good without wisdom. Giving money is a spiritual transaction," Apostle Hellon cautioned in his post.
"Whoever you give to receives your problems too and vice versa," he added.

Hellon emphasised that, like picking up diseases and demons through physical encounters, financial transactions with the wrong individuals could lead to the acquisition of trouble.

Hellon referenced the biblical story of Gehazi from 2 Kings 5:25-27, where Gehazi received gifts from Naaman, the healed leper, only to be struck with the same leprosy later.

Hellon asks followers to seek spiritual guidance

The man of God highlighted the potential consequences of indiscreet generosity.

In his post, Hellon quoted the interaction between Elisha and Gehazi, reinforcing the importance of timing and discernment in financial transactions.

"Is now the time to receive money? To receive clothes? And olive groves, vineyards, sheep, oxen, servants, or female attendants?" he echoed Elisha's words.

Apostle Hellon urged his followers to seek guidance from the Holy Spirit and exercise prudence when faced with requests for financial assistance.

He encouraged a thoughtful approach to generosity, advising against hastily giving money in dire situations.

Instead, he emphasised the duty to care for the less fortunate by providing training and skills for problem-solving.
