Mutua highlighted some of Kenya's tourism destinations, pointing out that the country boasts breathtaking landscapes and showcases its unparalleled beauty.

What are the requirements before entry

The CS encouraged Kenyans to pack picnic baskets and gather their families to savour the treasures in Kenya's wildlife.

To enter the parks and conservancies, proof of identification would be needed for Kenyans, with children accompanying parents or guardians who possess identification proof.

"Should a facility reach full capacity, we kindly urge patience to allow departing visitors to create space for others. Compliance with our staff’s guidance at entry points and within the premises is greatly appreciated," he said.

Mutua further urged governors overseeing county governments managing national reserves to consider a similar waiver.

Govt shifts focus in Kenyan tourism

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported in a strategic move that signals a profound shift in its approach to tourism promotion, the Ministry of Tourism embarked on an ambitious journey to spotlight the rich tapestry of culture, historical gems, and breathtaking landscapes that define Kenya.

Moving beyond the paradisiacal beaches and iconic wildlife that have long been the cornerstones of Kenya's tourism narrative, the government's vision now encompasses a broader, more encompassing perspective that embraces the myriad wonders this land offers.

The shift reflects a desire to diversify and highlight the multifaceted treasures that make Kenya a truly enchanting destination.
