If there were a film to document the illustrious career of Tanzanian songbird Christina Shusho, then Kenyan thespian Catherine Kamau, alias Kate Actress, would be her perfect doppelganger.
Does Kate Actress resemble Christina Shusho?
A side-by-side comparison of the two is gaining interest on social media after Kate Actress shared a photo of her and Shusho depicting they are a near-perfect pair.
Spotting a curly bob-hairdo, simple accessories and toned makeup in the black-and-white photo, Kate and Shusho to untrained eyes could be cut and paste.

Their dreamy eyes, perfectly contoured diamond-shaped faces and wide-set high cheekbones are why their followers see double.
Kenyans reacted to the photo by saying:
Kalastborn Millie:
"Our own Caterina Shusho. We love you."
Phelly Stess:
"I once thought that you are sisters."
Tina Arwa.
"Who is who now? The beauty, wueeh. Much love, ladies."
Peris K Hanniel:
"We need to compare your blood groups."
Why was Christina Shusho trending in Kenya?
Shusho is slated to hold a mega concert in Kenya on December 31, 2023, due to what she termed as increased demand and renewed interest in her music.
The New Year’s Eve concert will be held in collaboration with Daniel Ndambuki, aka Churchill.
The announcement followed a heated online debate over her direct, word-for-word use of the scripture in her lyrics.
Critics, particularly, were up in arms on X, saying that her hit worship songs lacked originality and were lifted straight from the Book of Psalms.
To her fans, however, the fact that she incorporates scriptures into her songs was a testament to her versatility as an artist, faith and reverence for the Bible.
Others added that more gospel artists should adopt her approach as a way to inject spiritual depth into the gospel music industry.
They noted that her soul-stirring songs are a hit across East Africa, making her one of the region's best-selling gospel artists since the lyrics potently originate from the source, the Bible.
