Acclaimed Kenyan dentist Naph Macharia can't keep calm as his decision to quit a well-paying job a year ago to start his own business, the Dental Spa, is paying off well.

Macharia resigns at 27

At only 27 years old, the young doctor and a friend, identified as Johnny Ong'ayi, decided to start their practice.

An Instagram video starts with a rough building under renovation, which later transforms into a neat clinic with all the equipment needed for modern treatment, indicating that the two doctors put in a lot of work into making the place habitable.

"That was a bold move, and this is how that one year has gone! Just here to remind you, that you can be anything you want!" said Macharia.
"We have seen 1500 patients so far and employed 10 people,' he shared.

Apart from employing a lot of people, the duo expanded, got an extra dental surgery room, and acquired a state-of-the-art dental intraoral scanner for digital identity.

"This is not a video to brag; it's a video to remind you and anybody else who sees this that you can be what you want," said Macharia.

Macharia, known by his TikTok handle @dr.naph_macharia, narrated the family's journey in a poignant video.

He explained that their father's demise left their mother, a primary school teacher, to raise the three siblings single-handedly.

"16 years ago, my dad passed away. My mum, a primary school teacher, was left with the three of us to raise alone," Macharia shared in the heartfelt video.
