Despite the Machachari TV show, which ran on Citizen TV, being scrapped, it still leaves indelible memories among Kenyans who enjoyed it.

Who is Brian Kabugi?

Most of the actors who were just tiny children back then have grown and found success in their craft. Bryan Kabugi, who played Kenny, has reached a milestone in his career.

Kabugi was featured as the main actor in a Netflix film dubbed Volume, which debuted on Wednesday, December 20.

He plays Benja, a young man dreaming of becoming a musician. However, his road to success proves difficult as he becomes embroiled in dubious dealings, which begin to hinder his rise.

“While chasing his dream of making a living through music, a talented young man from humble origins gets entangled in dubious dealings,” Netflix described the film.
Kabugi celebrated the milestone moment, saying he finally landed the role after 12 years in the film industry.
"12-year-old me is proud of you, champ. You made it on Neflix. You might not understand how deep this is, but starting my career as an extra on Machachari, working my way up the game, and finally getting here 12 years later.”

Kabugi attributed resilience, discipline, patience and hard work to his success.
