How did Mburu go missing?

Peter Mburu, a 40-year-old man, was finally found and reunited with his loved ones after an agonising 20-year search.

The tale of Peter's disappearance began when he went missing during a trip to Nairobi with his mother, Joyce Nyambura, Citizen Digital reported.

The mother-son duo had visited Kawangware in Nairobi, and it was during this trip that Peter mysteriously vanished, leaving his family in a state of despair.

Nyambura recounted the years of relentless searching for her son, checking different places, including mortuaries, only to be met with disappointment and a growing sense of hopelessness.

The breakthrough came when Njoro Deputy County Commissioner David Mbevi revealed that Peter Mburu had been discovered on the side of a road.

Acting swiftly, the authorities rushed him to Njoro sub-county hospital for immediate medical attention.

In a bid to trace Peter's family, the news of the unidentified man's discovery was publicised, reaching the ears of his family in Limuru.

Overjoyed and hopeful, they quickly identified him as their missing family member.

Mbevi shared the news, expressing the joy of reuniting a family that had endured two decades of separation.

The Mburu family has since relocated with Peter to Limuru, emphasising that their immediate priority is attending to his health, given his sorry state after years of being missing.

Plans for a grand welcome-back ceremony are also being planned.

Elderly man who disappeared from home reunited with family

In a related story, Mr Swaleh Abubakar went missing on October 15 from his home in the Mshomoroni area, Mombasa County, leaving his family in grief.

According to Leswaz Dullaz, who shared the news online, the family was more worried because the elderly man had been experiencing mental health issues.

Since his disappearance, social media was awash with his photos as family members sought help finding him.

At around 10 pm, the missing man was reportedly seen in the Kombani area, Kwale County. He was wearing the same luminous green T-shirt he left home with.
