Kisii - A section of National Government Administrative Officers(NGAOs) are in panic after receiving reprimand letters.
The administrators were warned by their seniors for attending a consultative meeting with Kisii governor Simba Arati.
A report by Nation revealed that Arati invited the administrators to his rural home to plan the mass distribution of mosquito nets and the disbursement of bursaries to poor children.

According to the letter, the officials were out of duty on Friday, December 29, 2023, without authorisation despite the national government's directive.
They were warned of unstipulated severe consequences for their actions that were considered outside their constitutional mandate.
"The purpose of this letter is to warn you of your actions and that severe consequences of not adhering to the directives will be imposed on you in carrying yourself outside your mandate," read the letter in part.
NGAO warned against taking political sides
In another letter to the officials, the government warned the leaders against attending political meetings their direct seniors are not preview to.
"We have noted with concern that Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs are attending political meetings and are being invited to politicians' homes for meetings that the CC/ DCC/ ACCs' offices are not aware of. As a thumb of rule, no chief/ Assistant chief should attend meetings without the express permission from the DCC/ACC. No Chief/ Assistant chief should leave his/ her workstation without the permission of his/ her supervisor. All NGOs/ HODs/ Government Agencies and County Heads must seek permission from the CC/DCC's office to hold meetings with Chiefs.
Disciplinary measures will be instituted against any NGAO who will be found violating the established guidelines and protocols. Take note and confirm compliance," warned the letter.
Arati scampers for safety
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Arati was lucky to escape an attack scene in the South Mugirango Constituency unharmed.
Arati had convened a meeting in the Nyakembeni area to issue bursaries to the locals when the rounds started flying from an unknown direction.
Speaking after the incident, Arati, who claimed he missed a bullet narrowly, linked the area MP Silvanus Osoro with the attack.
