What are the National Police Service units in Baringo
Taking to his X account, Kindiki said he distributed Christmas season celebration food items for the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU), Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU) camps in Ngaratuko, Kagir, and Loruk, and for Loruk Police Station, Yatya Police Post, and local National Police Reservists (NPRs).
"The incidents of banditry and its debilitating effects on the people of the Northern Rift Valley region have been contained by 70%," Kindiki added.
Building on the lessons so far, Kindiki disclosed that the ruling Kenya Kwanza administration aims at eradicating the menace of banditry and destroying its political, cultural, and commercial networks.
"2024 is a decisive year. The suppression of bandit terror will pave the way for the opening up of the region through social amenities, economic infrastructure, and durable peacebuilding programmes spearheaded by the government but involving non-governmental stakeholders," he added.
During the event, regional, county, and sub-county heads of security agencies and Unit Field Commanders were present.
TUKO.co.ke earlier reported that Kindiki maintained his spot as the top-performing government official in numerous surveys done over time.
