How many jobs Ruto was seeking in Germany
Meanwhile, President William Ruto recently flew to Germany for bilateral talks on labour agreements.
Speaking at an interdenominational church service in Sotik on Sunday, November 19, Ruto defended his frequent trips, insisting they are meant to benefit the country.
Ruto disclosed that he will follow up on the 200,000 jobs promised by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during his trip to Kenya in May.
According to Ruto, his administration was targeting to fly abroad at least 3,000 Kenyans weekly to fill vacancies worldwide.
"I have agreed with Labour CS, Florence Bore that we will sign bilateral labour agreements so that we export labour from Kenya. We are targeting exporting at least 3,000 Kenyans every week to go work worldwide and change their livelihoods," Ruto said.
