Elgeyo Marakwet - Marakwet West MP Timothy Toroitich Kipchumba has accused Busia senator Okiya Omtatah and the judiciary of what he termed interfering with President William Ruto's administration.
Speaking to KTN News on Thursday, December 21, Torotich said that as pro-Kenya Kwanza government lawmakers, they won't sit back and allow that to continue.
"The judiciary has interfered with government programmes and as Kenya Kwanza, we feel like the judiciary is interfering with government delivery services," he said.

Torotich, elected on an independent ticket, cited the Housing Levy Fund, which he observed that the likes of Omtatah were plotting to challenge in court.
"The High Court declared that the Housing Levy Fund is constitutional and said that we go and make laws in Parliament and come up with a bill that would anchor the Fund in the law. And so, as Parliament, we were able to bring that to the floor of the House but failed to pass it before breaking on recess," Toroitich explained.
Why Kenya Kwanza-allied MPs are a hungry lot
He said that Kenya Kwanza-allied MPs were shocked after the High Court in Kisumu stopped public participation in the fund.
"The courts are interfering with the parliamentary process as well as the administration of President Ruto. If you look at the Housing Levy Fund and the Finance Act 2023 and also look at the remarks of some people like Okiya Omtatah, he just moves to court and gets orders," Toroitich said.
According to the first-time MP, this is a clear indication that there is a grand scheme to interfere with Ruto's government and the Kenya Kwanza regime.
"Kenya Kwanza inherited an economy that was almost collapsing and we have an agenda aimed at restoring Kenya's lost glory. But all in all it is clear that Omtatah is being used to interfere with the Kenya Kwanza programmes," he added.
TUKO.co.ke earlier reported that Ruto confirmed the ongoing construction of 14,000 modern houses in one of Kenya's sprawling slums, Mukuru Kwa Njenga, through the Housing Fund.
What has given Mukuru kwa Njenga a new face
Ruto emphasised that the development at Mukuru kwa Njenga had significantly changed the slum into what he described as a modern city, likening its transformation to a European town.
"I want to ask you to go to Mukuru. We are building 14,000 houses there. If you go there today, you will not think it is a slum. You will think it is in Europe," Ruto said.
The housing levy was declared null and void and discriminatory by a court ruling. However, according to Ruto, the ruling was not far-reaching, stating that what the court just wanted was to have proper legislation governing the fund.
