Wambua reported the incident after seeking medical treatment at the Mbagathi County Hospital.

As reported by Nairobi News, Ogutu allegedly also declined arrest by Sergeant Daniel Wambua and his colleagues.

What happened during Ogutu's arrest

Ogutu is also alleged to have incited the public to attack police officers during a security operation in Mukuru Kaiyaba slums, Nairobi.

Appearing before Principal Magistrate Erick Mutunga at the Makadara Law Courts, he denied the charges against him and was released on a bond of KSh50,000 and an alternative cash bail of kSh20,000.

Witnesses in the case include Wambua, Sergeant Wambua, and three other police officers.
