Nation reported that she succumbed to the stab wounds on arrival at the Mater Hospital, where she was rushed to seek treatment.

How did the incident happen?

Makadara Assistant Police Commissioner Dennis Omuku said the rider offered Nanjala and her two other friends a free ride, but they declined.

Upon noticing the boda boda operator following them, Nanjala's friends increased their pace.

Nanjala did not walk fast. The rider caught up with her and made further advances, but she maintained her stance.

He then pulled out a knife, stabbed her in the thigh and chest, and took her mobile phone and money before fleeing.

The incident was reported to have happened in South B, Starehe sub-county.

Suspect in murder of ex-girlfriend found guilty of murder charges

In November of this year, Eldoret High Court found a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend guilty of the charges pressed against him.

Going by the evidence adduced in court, Justice Reuben Nyakundi found Mustafa Idd culpable for the killing.

The deceased's mother, Beatrice Luzeno, said she (Emma Wanyotta) had been sexually assaulted before her body was crippled.

"She was killed in her bedroom. The killer had sexually abused her in the sitting room before taking her to the bedroom. We found she didn't have her limbs, and her belly had been dissected, with the contents removed," Luzeno said then, in the wake of her child's murder.
