Taking to his official Instagram page on Thursday, December 21, Salasya said he was ready to meet the magistrate in person.

In his own words, the youthful legislator went on:

"I want to take this opportunity to offer my apology to anyone I might have wronged. Even Daniel Moi (deceased) apologised to all those he once wronged. If there is any way I wronged including the Kakamega magistrate, I apologise because I respect everyone despite their status."

Why Peter Salasya wants to meet Gladys Kiama

According to Salasya, he may not understand himself sometimes, but he is apologetic for his shortcomings in life.

"I am a Christian. I harbor no bad blood with anyone, and I hope to meet with the magistrate over a cup of tea or even if I come to your home. I also apologise to the entire judiciary in Kakamega I am sorry for saying that you are corrupt," Salasya added.

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Salasya dismissed claims that he threatened to kill Magistrate Gladys Kiama after she delivered judgment ordering him to pay KSh 500,000 in debt.

How Peter Salasya got himself in trouble

Kakamega businessman Robert Lutta sued Salasya for allegedly refusing to pay the debt in two months, according to their agreement.

"The magistrate claimed that I threatened to kill her at noon after she delivered judgment. If you check my flight, I was on board at 8am. from Nairobi to Kisumu. Then I was engaged in a meeting at the Garden Hilton from 11am. to 11pm. in the night. I have been here all along. Where did I run to? Stop politicising everything," warned the MP.

He added:

"Why don't you give me an ultimatum to clear the debt? This has turned out to be a political thing, and we will fight it politically. I am a law-abiding citizen and not above the law. If you want to arrest me, just proceed."

The MP was instructed by Kiama of Kakamega Small Claims Court to settle the debts, along with interest and court expenses.
