A man who works for a leading technology company in Nairobi has gone missing under mysterious circumstances in his home village of Chepkosom, Elgeyo border.

Nicolas Kipruto (nicknamed Kap Arap Mutai), an employee of Lauser Technologies, was last seen by his sister and wife on Wednesday, January 3, around midnight.

Friends dropped Kipruto home

Kipruto's sister Vivian told TUKO.co.ke that his friends dropped her brother off at his home in Tembelio location, only for him to vanish.

She says she heard the sound of his Probox car being parked, went to greet him, and then woke up his wife to welcome him.

However, when they returned to the parking lot, they found that Nicolas had vanished, leaving behind his phone and shoes.

His friends, who had left on a motorbike, claimed they did not see him leave the compound and had no idea where he could have gone.

"It's five days now and we still haven't gotten any leads regarding his whereabouts," the heartbroken sister said.

Family in panic over disappearance

Vivian described her brother as a tall, slim man with short black hair and brown eyes. When he disappeared, he was wearing a pair of blue jeans trousers and a checked shirt.

"He didn't go with his phone because he left it at home when he left for Moim centre. He also went missing while bare feet," she continued.

Since the disappearance, family, relatives and residents of Chepkossom have been distressed as all search efforts have hit dead ends.

His parents, wife and children are in a panic and requesting whoever may have information on their missing kin reach out.

"We are asking for prayers and support from the public as we keep our hopes high that he will walk through the gates into our arms," she concluded.

The family can be reached through sister Vivian at +254724553964 or Alfred Kiplagat at +254721629146.

Wanjiru, who lives in Dubai, had sent a distress message to a family member, indicating that she was not okay.

The mystery was deepened when a strange number called to inform a relative that she had been found outside a supermarket while injured.
