Award-winning American gymnast Simone Biles has come to the defence of her husband, Jonathan Owens, after facing backlash for the recent comments he made during an interview.

Owens was on a podcast interview when he was asked how he managed to get himself a woman like Simone.

However, his response left many unimpressed after claiming that he was the prize in their relationship because it was the athlete who chased after him.
