The lavish white wedding has left tongues wagging on social media, with several Kenyans wishing them well in their union.

In a photo that has circulated on social media, David rocked a black suit and an orange tie.

His bride, Carol, rocked a white gown that left her looking like a true African queen.

The wedding's reception was held at the Mount Kenya Safari Club, and a lovely carriage at the reception went viral.

President Ruto attended the wedding, and he rocked an all-black ensemble. His wife, the First Lady Rachel Ruto, was also present.

She wore a colourful maxi dress that complimented her husband's dark attire.

Prominent leaders were also in attendance, such as Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and MP Oscar Sudi.

Ruto, in a viral clip, danced with other men as they held onto traditional sticks and chanted as they moved rhythmically to the Kalenjin music.

When did Ruto's brother do his traditional wedding?

The two had a lavish traditional wedding ceremony in 2019, where Ruto was the chief dowry negotiator.

Carol and David have been lovers for a long time, and they officiated their union in 2019.

David and Carol's koito was attended by their family members, including Ruto's mother, his sisters, and the first lady.

Ruto's kids and their cousins were also in attendance to support their uncle.

Nick Ruto's traditional wedding

In 2022, Ruto's eldest son, Nick Ruto, held a private ceremony at Legend Hotel venues, seeking to legitimise his relationship with his lover Evelyn Chemtai.

Ruto's mother, Mama Sarah, led the family during the ceremony, which saw the president and his wife, Rachael, wearing matching African kitenge.
