Everyone has their favourite pastor, and in Kenya, they range from the stern and very pious ones to the hilarious men of God and those involved in baffling scandals.
Whatever one's choice, there are moments when Kenyans have come together online to agree or furiously disagree with some teachings from their pastors.
Below are some of them:

He once grabbed people's attention when he declared that broke men shouldn't expect respect from their wives.
Mgogo is also on record calling out broke men who buy their wives mtumba clothes.
"Buy your wives nice clothes and expensive lotions," he said
2. Elizabeth Mokoro
Hard-hitting female pastor Elizabeth Mokoro lit up the internet when she advised women to go commando when in the house with their husbands.
The pastor claimed that men want to see their women naked and that women should not wear full-body clothes or towels in the house.
"Some men have complained to me that they have not seen their wives’ nakedness in a long time," she said while urging women to stop doing house chores late at night and to spend more time with their husbands.
In another teaching, the woman of God also saluted men who marry women with children from previous relationships.
Mokoro was saddened by the fact that some men seduce women and impregnate them but never plan to marry them.
"You should never separate children from their mums," said Mokoro.
3. Pastor James Ng'ang'a
Sometimes, he is hilarious; other times, he is controversial, but one thing about pastor James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism Centre is that his teachings grab attention online.
The seasoned pastor once exposed women who hit on him, which left social media users in awe. According to the man of God, over 2,000 women wanted him, including church ushers and social media users.
His revelations sparked debate on social media, which left many asking what was so special about him to attract all those women
4. Pastor Sue Munene
In November 2019, pastor Susan Munene rose to fame after a video of her urging partners to enjoy having intercourse anywhere went viral frequently.
The discussion had come about after a man in church posed a question inquiring how many times a married couple should indulge in copulation.
The pastor at Overcomers Hope Ministry in Kasarani also set tongues wagging when she advised men to only kneel during prayer or twa twa with their partners.
The preacher went viral on the internet after she offered tips on when and why married men should kneel, and her hilarious nuggets of wisdom were captured in a video recorded during a church service. It sparked comical reactions from netizens.
5. Pastor from Prayer Cave
One would hardly think dirty undergarments would make it to a sermon, right? Well, a TikTok's Prayer Cave channel pastor advised wives to wash their husbands' innerwear as some men don't wash theirs.
During a sermon on marriage, he revealed different ways men handle their dirty undergarments, adding that some can even recycle one pair for a long time.
The pastor's teaching sparked debate among men and women on who should wash the men's undergarments.
6. Bishop Harrison Ng'ang'a
Bishop Harrison Ng'ang'a is a household name in Kenya, and he stirred the internet when he taught that women should get married to broke men as young suitors with money are thieves.
The founder of the Christian Foundation Fellowship Church issued the marriage advice, noting that it's according to the Bible.
7. Ezekiel Odero
Pastor Ezekiel Odero may be from the Luo tribe, but he had exciting advice for women seeking to marry Luo men.
The Kilifi-based man of God stated that finding a Luo man who remains loyal to his wife is challenging.
He argued that Luo men may express love by providing material possessions to their wives but will still cheat.
His controversial remarks about faithfulness among Luo men ignited massive reactions on social media.
God is waiting for some women to mature
In another story, pastor Daniel Mgogo from Tanzania revealed that some women cannot get husbands unless they mature first.
According to Mgogo, such women disturb men as they do not know how to spend their money properly and like spending cash on vanity.
In other instances, the ladies are too demanding and insist on marrying people from particular tribes, leaving out others.
