Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has urged the Principal Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Singoei Korir, to organise diplomatic classes for Cabinet Secretaries to train them on the fundamental principles of international relations and the comity of nations.

Ahmednasir argued that Kipchumba Murkomen's sentiments about the democracy of Rwanda were ridiculous and an attack on a sovereign-friendly state.

"Singoei Korir, you need to urgently organise workshops for government officials and educate them on the basic tenets of the comity of nations. CS Kipchumba Murkomen can't attack a friendly sovereign state without provocation and disparaging President Paul Kagame just like that.

This is embarrassing. CSs must be taken through a crash course, teaching them the responsibilities of their new constitutional offices! Very soon, Kenya will be a pariah state in the hood!" he said.

Rwanda is autocratic, claims Murkomen

While on Citizen TV on Monday, December 18, Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen stated that the neighbouring country cannot be compared to Kenya due to its small size, political situation, and democracy.

He added that Rwanda is an autocratic state where everything that the president says automatically becomes law.

"Rwanda is not like Kenya. Rwanda is an autocracy, and whatever the president says is the law. You cannot compare the political situation in Rwanda and the size of the country with our country and our democracy," said Murkomen.

The CS also argued that laws in Kenya are made procedurally and involve several parties, including the parliament, the public, and the courts.

"For every decision you make in this country, you must go through a proposal, then Parliament, then public participation. Then, after you go through all the processes, you go through the court, and that is our country," he claimed.

UDA Party Leadership School

In December, UDA secretary general Cleophas Malala announced plans to establish a school at the party headquarters aimed at training leaders.

"Together, we resolved to ensure that our parties increase cooperation in the areas around leadership, exchange programmes, and the establishment of the UDA Party Leadership School," Malala said.
"We are also working closely with the Communist Party of China as it moves to build party offices in the country that will have a leadership school," he added.
