Why was Jay Melody arrested in Kenya?
Jay Melody’s announcement comes just a few months after he was arrested in Kenya over a scuffle with a local promoter.
The musician had come to Kenya for a performance in July and allegedly got into a fight with Golden Boy, a promoter based in Mombasa.
According to SPM Buzz, Golden Boy reported the matter at Bamburi Police Station and Jay Melody, who had travelled to Nairobi, was apprehended and taken to Kilimani Police Station.
However, he was later released after the intervention of some influential Kenyan celebrities, including Jaguar, Mzazi Willy M Tuva, and Brown Mauzo.
