Were police officers handling Starlet Wahu's case careless?
She said that she was shocked to see people walking into the crime scene without wearing gloves or any protective gear, and allowing the media to film and broadcast the most private details of the murder.

She also questioned the media ethics of the journalists who reported the story without filtering or censoring the sensitive information.
"A woman’s life is taken in the most gruesome way, and they allow the media to access the crime scene when it’s wrong. People are walking around the crime scene as if it’s a recreational centre without even gloves. They collected very private information and not only were they allowed to film, they broadcast this information everywhere. What happened to media ethics," she said in the video.
How did Starlet Wahu meet death?
Starlet Wahu was found dead in an Airbnb apartment in Nairobi’s South B.
The police arrested John Matara, a man who had booked the apartment with Wahu, as the prime suspect in the murder.
According to the police, Wahu bled to death from the wounds, while Matara fled the scene with a stab wound of his own.
He was later arrested at Mbagathi Hospital, where he had gone to seek treatment.
A special report by K24 revealed the police also recovered some shocking items from the crime scene, including HIV test kits and used contraceptives.
He will be held in custody for 21 days as the investigation continues.
