A woman visited Pastor Kanyari's church for deliverance during a recent service.

The woman asked for prayers, expressing her interest in working for God. She revealed she had been a member of the church since December 2022, and before she could finish speaking, Kanyari blasted her.

"Sasa wewe na hizi nywele unakaa kama Mungiki. Mnaniaibisha kuwa na hii nywele. Leta KSh 500 hapo tumpatie aende atengeneze nywele ( Now you, with this hair, you look like a Mungiki. You embarrass me with this hair. Give KSh 500 so that we can give it to her to go and fix her hair," he said.

The controversial man of God called one of the ushers and asked her to ensure the woman made her hair, claiming some of his congregants use the money to buy food when he gives them money to do something.

The preacher then smacked the congregant before moving on to attend to another one.
